We are the official balloon ride provider for the Winthrop Balloon Round-up
The annual Winthrop Balloon Festival happens in early March, and it’s quite a sight to behold. Over a dozen balloons from around the Northwest fill the morning skies. Be one of the few lucky passengers who get to be part of it and experience it aboard a balloon! Passenger space is limited, so please book early for this exciting event.
This flight launches just after sunrise. There’s a great post-flight celebration upon completion of the flight. Lodging is not included.
We Offer Two Ride Options:
Winthrop Balloon Round-up Sunrise Shared Balloon Flight
Shared flight for 2 to 10 passengers from the same or different group
Winthrop Balloon Round-up Private Balloon Flight For Up To 4
Private Balloon Ride for up to 4. Maximum Group weight not to exceed 800 lbs. Flight details are the same as our Shared Rides, just exclusive to you.
The Details
Duration: 3 Hours from start to finish
Capacity: Shared flight for 2 to 10 passengers from the same or different group
Flight Time: 60-75 Minutes in the Air
Time of Ride: Ride times are determined by sunrise times and are confirmed during booking. These times vary based on the time of year.
Season: Offered First Weekend of March Each Year
Ages: 6+
Price: $375 per passenger
Winthrop Balloon Round-up purchases include a $30.00 per person Non-refundable surcharge if cancellation is within 14 days, regardless of reason for cancellation.
Important Note: 14 Day Cancellation Policy in effect for this event.
- Reservations can be canceled or changed up to 14 days prior to the event and are
eligible for a full refund. - Reservations canceled within 14 days receive credit towards rebooking to our
Snohomish location. - Reservations canceled by us last minute due to unsuitable weather are eligible for
full refund or credit towards rebooking to our Snohomish location.
Things to Know Before You Go:
You are notified of your meeting time and site during the reservation process. The meeting site can change based on seasonal factors. If you need directions, are lost, or are running late, please call us directly anytime.
Morning Flights
This special flight meets just prior to Sunrise at the Balloon Round-up Coral. Dress warm.
Afternoon Flights
Afternoon flight are not offered during the Winthrop Balloon Round-up.
Weather Condition Notice
Hot Air Ballooning is a weather-dependent activity. In some cases suitable weather can only be determined within a few hours of flight time. Generally the status is determined 1 ½ to 2 hours prior to your meeting time. You will need to check the flight status of your flight to confirm weather is suitable for hot air ballooning by calling our office prior to meeting time.
Unsuitable Weather Conditions
For safety reasons, we reserve the right to Cancel a flight if the weather is not suitable. Flights may be cancelled within 2 hours of meeting time. If your flight is cancelled due to unsuitable weather conditions, you may reschedule your flight for a future open availability or receive a full refund if applicable. Refunds are not available for Gift vouchers.

We will send out a Flight Status Text Notification approximately 1 ½ hour prior to meeting time. If you do not receive notification we advise you to call us for a recorded flight status update within 1 hour prior to your flight meeting time.
